Role: Project Manager for VC Fund Portfolio Company Projects

Reporting to: CEO of EMV Capital

Location: Farringdon, London

Company description

EMV Capital is a UK based, award-winning, Deeptech-focused Venture Capital firm, operating in the life sciences, sustainability and industrials sectors with investments in the UK and internationally. EMV Capital is part of AIM-listed NetScientific plc, and is growing rapidly, working with both the group’s 24 portfolio companies, and investing in attractive Deeptech opportunities.

Our portfolio companies work directly on addressing some of the major global challenges in healthcare, climate change and industrial systems. There is a strong ESG element to our investment activities, but the focus is on helping to create strong, commercially sustainable companies that provide investor returns.

EMV Capital’s business model is based upon a combination of ‘capital-light’ investment strategy for its companies and a pro-active management style run by a portfolio services and value creation team.

As part of this approach, EMV Capital sets up and runs value creation programmes with the portfolio companies. This support covers strategy, business reviews and planning, financial evaluation and modelling, IP strategy reviews, creating the finance function, marketing and sales, preparation for fund-raisings and commercialisation, helping to identify collaboration opportunities with corporations, as well as recognising and driving synergies between companies within the portfolio. The approach is geared to adding value, capital growth and realising returns through appropriate liquidity events
