Summary of Role:

NetScientific are recruiting for a Chief of Staff to assist the Chief Executive Officer and team in facilitating effective decision making, organisation and time management. The ideal candidate will have a flexible approach to varying duties, with proven team and project management experience.  The successful Chief of Staff will be instrumental in increasing productivity and impact by providing support and bandwidth on day-to-day work and projects. You will have the ability to plan effectively and focus on the successful delivery of the requisite outputs and results. You will also handle the information/communication flow across the business, including both the core team and portfolio companies, ensuring that the CEO achieves the Group’s strategic priorities. Assisting the CEO to anticipate and resolve issues as they arise.


Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Provide the direct reporting line for the core team
  • Member of the senior leadership team
  • Support the CEO and other senior management, with effective project management, to oversee and drive multiple projects and initiatives through to successful completion
  • Prioritise actions and workflow, focusing on key developments and operational requirements
  • Assist the CEO in implementing and delivering the agreed business plans
  • Manage the flow of information to and from the CEO, ensuring the correct reporting lines are maintained
  • Capture and communicate clear action items and ensure follow up
  • Contribute to reporting, presentations and other material for board meetings and investor meetings
  • Offer practical solutions to help pre-empt and resolve issues on behalf of the CEO
  • Work across teams to identify areas for improvement in productivity and efficiency


Qualifications and Skills: 

  • A relevant degree such as in business administration, engineering, science, finance
  • Strong commercial experience in related sectors
  • Good judgement with attention to detail but also not losing sight of the big picture
  • Disciplined commercial approach and problem solver
  • Experience managing and executing projects on time and within budget
  • Strong quantitative, communication and presentation skills
  • Managing relationships and staff
  • Versatile, dedicated to efficient productivity
  • Flexible approach to varying duties
  • Emotional intelligence, and adept at diplomacy, influencing and mentoring.
